Where will you be working? – What will you be wearing? Kitchen – Chef’s uniform Dining Room – Waiter’s uniform Supervisors, Managers, Front Desk may require a dark suit, white shirt or blouse and conservative tie. Airline staff have a particular uniform J. Gurto

OH & S issues You may be required to wear extra protective clothing if you’re involved with cleaning and laundry tasks or using machinery such as the meat slicer. These could include a rubber apron, mask, goggles or mesh gloves. Protective footwear includes only low-heeled, fully closed shoes or boots, with slip-resistant soles and some cushioning. J. Gurto

Impact on different types of customers. It is best to dress in a way that will not offend any customer. Elderly people, professional people and most visitors would expect staff to be dressed conservatively. The workplace would determine the type of image they would want to project. J. Gurto
