45 Q2 2007 A-Series ProVideo Overview slide45 © 2007 Quantum Corporation Apple File Issues - Every File Is 2 Files Files on Macs contain Data AND Resource forks Most FTP clients do not deal with this (they lose the resource fork during a transfer). Fetch shareware does AppleSingle transfer (slower). Our clients v1.0.9 and earlier lose the resource fork. Our client v2.0.1 does AppleDouble for most, but not all, files - v2.5.0 will address all issues. Filename (Data plus Resource) Filename (Data plus Resource) Resource Filename (Data)._Filename Filename AppleDouble (v2) AppleSingle (Fetch) Resource Filename (Data) Archive Restore Must use same client On Mac file system On A-Series file system
