2 Cisgender One whom identifies with the sex and gender they were assigned at birth Ex: Biologically male individual that is comfortable identifying as a male Biologically female individual that is comfortable identifying as a female

3 Transgender vs Transsexual
Transgender: an individual whom identifies with the gender opposite of the one they were assigned at birth Transsexual: a trans* individual whom goes through surgery to be assigned to another sex Male-to-Female (MTF): a biologically male individual whom strongly identifies as a female Female-to-Male (FTM): a biologically female individual whom strongly identifies as a male 0.3% of the US population

5 Trans* Umbrella Genderqueer: identifying as any gender in between the gender-binary system Androgynous: appearing with or indentifying as both male and female characteristics Genderfluid: switching between any gender-binary or gender non-binary identities in a given time frame (depends on individual) Bi-gender: indentifying with any combination of two gender-binary or non-binary gender identities Tri-gender: indentifying with any combination of three gender-binary or non-binary gender identities Agender: a lack of gender

13 Pronouns PGPs/AGPs: pronouns reflecting the gender you want to be seen/referred to as (if you don’t know, refer to them with neutral pronouns, or ask!!) Misgender: referring to someone using PGPs/AGAs they do not want to be seen/referred to as Dysphoria: extreme unsatisfactory feeling of your gender identity (through personal feelings, someone else’s comments, or bullying)
