21 participating rural communities: 14 funded through a federal HPS (Homelessness Partnering Strategies) grant 7 funded internally

Banff and Canmore Grande Cache Jasper * Drumheller * Ponoka Kainai Nation * Athabasca Drayton Valley * Lac La Biche * Bonnyville TOTAL POPULATION – 256,043 * Communities funded through HPS * Communities with population of approx. 13,000

4 Provincial Surveys Currently approximately 1,600 surveys submitted to date Estimated approximately 200 more surveys to be submitted by year end Full provincial report will be available by March/April 2019

5 Survey Definition of Unstable Housing
Unsheltered: ( absolutely homeless; living on the street or in unsafe places not intended for human habitation) Emergency Sheltered: (people staying in overnight shelters due to homelessness or family violence) Provisionally Accommodated: (people with accommodation that is temporary or lacks security for the future, i.e. couch-surfing) At Risk of Homelessness: (People who are not yet homeless but their current economic situation is precarious)
