8 Beginning the Process Complete the online registration on line then come to Campbell to visit with Mrs. Payne. You will need these requirements documents to complete your registration: Birth certificate Social security card Immunization record Proof of residence Drivers license with current address

9 Helpful Hints to Prepare for Kindergarten - Talk about your positive experiences in school - Read books / Fort Bend County Library Summer Reading Program - Enroll in summer activities that promote sharing, learning a routine and following rules - Discuss independent skills such as buttoning, tying shoes, snapping snaps, cleaning up after activities, putting away toys, etc. - Explore your community by visiting museums, parks, walks, etc. - Sing songs - Expose your child to the web with guidance (Campbell Library Links / www.starfall.com) - Count various objects around the house & group them by attributes (size, color, shape, texture)

18 The 2013 - 2014 Campbell PTA - organized volunteers who spent over 8,000 hours helping our school - hosted teacher appreciation events and sponsored teacher appreciation week - raised funds for grade level field trips, teacher training, provided iPads to classrooms who did not have any of these devises, provided a Promethean Board to the music teacher, purchased a new podium and provided funds to continue to build our literacy library - sponsored student programs (Morris Brothers Anti-Bullying Program) - provided each teacher with start-up classroom materials - donated back to the community through the Giving Tree and conducted a community service project for Common Threads PTA

24 Campbell Elementary participates in several Ca$h for Tra$h fundraising programs. Help our school earn money by clipping and saving pieces of trash that are usually thrown away.

25 If each student collected 5 Box Tops per month, over $3,000 would be raised this school year.

30 Most of what I really need to know about how to live, what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced lifelearn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work everyday some. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together. Be aware of wonder.
