My Digital Footprint might affect me when I apply for a job. If I post inappropriate pictures on my social media account when I'm 12 those could effect me getting a job when I'm 26.
Colleges might look into my social media accounts. That would definitely affect my future. Colleges would take into consideration if I am the type of person they want representing their College.

4. How to Stay Safe on Social Media
Ways to stay safe and appropriate are to be aware of what you post, don’t post pictures that might come back later and bite you in the butt. Pictures like you doing inappropriate things.
You can also stay safe by changing your privacy setting to private. The privacy setting is so that you can approve if you want a certain person to be allowed to follow you, look at your pictures, etc.
