How do you know? – they’re friends, they don’t seem to have a popularity differential, strength differential, ?

6. Conflict or Violence?
In the story about Twist and Liona, was their fight VIOLENCE or CONFLICT?
CONFLICT
Disagreement, argument, or accidental boundary crossing.
Conflict is a normal part of every relationship.
VIOLENCE
Aggression, intentionally causing harm, or threatening to cause harm.
Violence is not a part of safe relationships.

7. Scenario:
Ray sent embarrassing photos of Volt through social media to her new friends.
How do you think Volt feels?
What is the power dynamic in this relationship?
Was this CONFLICT or VIOLENCE?

8. What Should Jumps Do?
Jumps probably feels EMBARASSED, ASHAMED, and REJECTED. He was hurt and betrayed by someone he considered a friend.
IF students included this step in their role-play, praise their decision.
IF students did not, make sure they understand why it is important, and in any conflict it’s an important first step.
