Benchmark grade is a grade 5.

8 Grading at higher level
EdExcel: “Broadly the same proportion of students will achieve a grade 4 and above as currently achieve a grade C and above” Benchmark grade is a grade 5. Top 3% nationally will get a grade 9.

9 In school support Mock exams – including exam practice.
Maths clinic every Monday lunchtime for advice and support. Monday Master classes focussing on the new topics at GCSE. DEAR Maths tutor time sessions. Tuesday night catch up sessions. Further Maths sessions. (selected students only) Small group intervention for key, targeted students. Whole/half day revision sessions just before the actual exam days.

10 Help at home We subscribe to numerous websites which contain excellent revision and support materials. Homework and revision work will be based around some of these sites to encourage independent study at home.
