About her
Mnemosyne has a river in the underworld for the souls to drink from and remember their past life. If they chose to drink from this spring they were sent to Elysian fields for eternity to live in comfort and peace.

4. What happened?
Zeus took form as a shepherd and met with Mnemosyne and slept together for nine consecutive days.

5. What happened?
This affair led to her getting pregnant with 9 children. These kids are known as the Muses. Their names are Clio, Euterpe, Thalia, Melpomeni, Terpsichore, Erato, Polymnia, Ourania and Calliope.

The Muses are the Calliope Muse of heroic epic poetry, Clio Muse of history, Erato Muse of lyric and love poetry, Euterpe Muse of music or flutes, Melpomene Muse of tragedy, Polymnia Muse of sacred poetry or of the mimic art, Terpsichore Muse of dancing and choral song, Thalia Muse of comedy, Urania Muse of astronomy.
