10. Reading Print is everywhere!
Important to listen to your child read everyday
Use the books in a creative way and remember to write in the yellow reading record that you have read with them
Children will be moved onto the next book band by their class teacher when they are ready!

Reading – listening to your child read and talking about the book on a regular basis.
Providing opportunities for speaking and listening.
Practical maths activities indoors and outdoors
Broadening their knowledge of the world around them;

21. Pupil Premium Grant You do not need to pay for… Educational Visits
A school sweatshirt will be provided for you in year R and in year 2
After school clubs – just apply and we’ll do the rest

22. Attendance and Punctuality
Excellent attendance and punctuality is expected of all pupils.
Pupil absences must be explained either by letter, telephone or in person by a responsible adult. Unexplained absences are classed as unauthorised and are followed up by the Education Welfare Officer.
Leave of absence for pupils during term time for any reason is actively discouraged. Requests for such absences must be made in writing to the Headteacher and permission will only be given in very exceptional circumstances
Our school target for next year is 96%
We have a target of 96% and for the past 2 yaers we have been just below the national average. Please ensure your daughter attends school as often as physically possible.

23. SENDCO
If your child has any Special Educational Needs – Mr Jones is the new SENDCO and is available for appointments on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

If you or your child are in need of pastoral support – Mrs Qureshi is available to see you. Just phone in to the school office to make an appointment
