All the individuals of a species that are in a given area at a given time.

3 Ecology - Populations Population Density
The number of individuals in a given area.

4 Ecology - Populations

5 Ecology - Populations Carrying Capacity
Refers to the size of a population that can live indefinitely in an environment without doing that environment any harm.

6 Ecology - Populations Density Dependent Factors
Factors that affect population that get worse as population increases. Eg. Food, Water, Space, Predators, Disease, Parasitism

7 Ecology - Populations Density Independent Factors
Factors that affect population that do not get worse as population increases. Eg. Fire, Storms, Earthquakes, Floods

8 Ecology - Populations Interspecific Competition
Competition for resources between individuals of different species. Eg. Competition for food, water, space…

9 Ecology - Populations Intraspecific Competition
