1 Art Therapy

2 Origins of Art therapy Margaret Naumberg, an american art teacher, found the use of art therapy a powerful form of therapeutic communication for several children she taught. Naumberg observed that self- expression through spontaneous art became a psychotherapeutic treatment in its own right. A second theory, developed by art teacher Edith Kramer, suggested that the process of drawing itself was therapeutic
