Recent History
In the Past, CEAL website was hosted by CEAL Library Technology Committee chair’s institution
The CEAL Executive Board approved the purchase of Webspace for the CEAL website in 2007
CEAL purchased the CEAL Domain name in 2007:
The CEAL website now lives in its own webspace

Many of the CEAL Committees currently DO NOT yet have their files on the CEAL website
Cost: In May, 2007, the CEAL Executive Board approved the purchase of:

Webhosting for 1 year: $39.90 (Renewal in May 2008)

12. Creating Your Committee Page: Getting Started
Each committee gets it’s own folder in the CEAL website
Each folder represents a separate “sub-domain”
Sub-Domains have their own passwords, assigned by the CEAL Library Technology Committee
Creating a Page
You can create a page for your committee on your own computer. 
The easiest way to do that is by using web editing software such as Microsfoft FrontPage, Microsoft Expression Web, or Adobe Dreamweaver.

1) Right Click the green "Start" Button (lower left corner of the screen). 2) On the right-click menu, click "Explore"

1) Go to the Filezilla website:
2) Select "Download FilleZilla Client“
3) After downloading, copy the file to an empty folder on your desktop.
4) Follow the directions and install FileZilla

1) Start FileZilla, and insert the CEAL FTP server address in the "Host" box.  Insert the username, and password.  Type the Port number: "21". Press "Quickconnect."
