Water vapor in the atmosphere varies from 0 – 4%. The higher the water vapor, the lower the amount of other gases present.

Smog is a type of pollution. The kind of smog affecting an area depends on its pollutants.
Sources that cause smog include car exhaust, factories burning coal or oil.

Ozone is a natural gas that forms in the stratosphere. It is not normally found in the lower atmosphere, and if it is, it is considered a pollutant.

Chemicals called CFC’s break down the ozone into regular oxygen molecules. These molecules can not absorb the radiation.

The destruction of ozone molecules by CFCs seems to cause a seasonal reduction in ozone over Antarctica called the ozone hole.
