3 Strengthening the power

4 Economic Measures Royal right to collect taxes

5 Foreign policy Two aims guided him:the repossession of his family’s dynastic relaitionships and Hungary’s influence in the South. His campaign against the Havasalföld voivod ended failure (Posada). He did not manage to have his rule acknowledged in Croatia and Dalmacia.

Charles Robert wanted good relationships with Luxembourgs in Bohemia and the Lokietek family in Poland Charles’s good relations with both countries eclipsed, by the animosity between the Bohemians and the Poles=> they organized the meeting Participants: - Count of Moravia, Casimir III. - John of Luxembourg - Charles of Anjou
