a) process launched in autumn 2002 in close cooperation with the ETF
b) gradual and case-by-case approach reflecting the countries’ needs, priorities, demands and proposals

3. Stages of the process
a conference held in November 2002 in connection with the Danish EU Presidency
consultation of the 13 countries on the basis of a vademecum and a questionnaire developed by Cedefop
small working group (ETF, Cedefop, TTnet, acceding countries) set up to analyse the countries’ replies

4. Country frameworks
“Country frameworks” drafted for the 6 countries prepared to join TTnet (Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia)
priority issues in the field of teacher training within each country, checked against the priorities expressed by the countries
EU priority issues for teachers and trainers
TTnet achievements and good examples of practices

5. Issues to be raised
how to integrate the acceding and candidate countries in TTnet activities?
how to promote active partnership between existing TTnet networks and newly created networks?

6. Final stage of the process
“Road map” to be established for the association of the acceding and candidate countries with TTnet activities
