2. Describing People
For many adjectives, we use forms of the verb “ser” to be. Yo soy=I am Tú eres= You are Él, Ella, Usted es= He is, She is, You are Nosotros somos= we are Ellos/Ellas son= they are Ustedes son= You all are

3. Adjectives in Spanish.
Some adjectives in Spanish change depending on whether you are describing a male or female. Marta es alta. Marta is tall. Marcos es alto. Marcos is tall. Pablo es bajo. Pablo is short. Pati es baja. Pati is short.

4. Adjectives in Spanish.
Some adjectives in Spanish do NOT change depending on whether you are describing a male or female. Marta es inteligente. Pablo es inteligente.

5. To say that someone is NOT something, add “No” in front of the verb.
Marta no es baja. Marta is not short. Pablo no es alto. Pablo is not tall.
