What do you need/want at Leaving Cert Set Goals - SMART Reward yourself when you meet these targets Discuss your plan with your parents Keep reminding yourself why you want to do well! Positive thinking! It can be done!

Comfortable and organised environment a set room with minimum distractions. study desk, comfortable chair, noticeboard. good air conditioning,heating, lighting. keep your space tidy. NO mobile phones, TV or music! Organised study is worth considering.

Set a study/homework timetable be realistic be flexible include sports/leisure activities in planning Keep account of what time you spent on each subject Make revision lists Always tick off work done

14 Planning a schedule Divide your time into 40 minute slots
Schedule breaks Do extra study on 3/4 different subjects each night some suggestions when allocating your time: do study first, followed by homework. start with your worst subject, finish with your best separate the languages i.e. irish, french etc.. keep subjects together that compliment each other
