Morbidity Statistics Work Package 1 - National Inventories on Morbidity Statistics Expected results: Description of the sources for best estimates of morbidity indicators at national level (existing or planned in the near future), including their potential limits in terms of quality; Description of the current national methodology for calculating best estimates for the morbidity indicators included in the Eurostat prioritised Shortlist; Description of methods that can be used/developed for reaching full population representativeness; Assessment of sustainability of a regular morbidity data collection over time. 16-17 December 2014 Working Group Public Health

Morbidity Statistics Work Package 2 – Expert group for coordinating the national inventories Expected results: Develop and implement a system for a continuous feed-back to participants of Work Package 1; Ensure that the national inventories will meet the requirements, with particular view on the final goal: to allow a sound analysis of national methodologies on morbidity statistics in view of comparable statistics at EU-level. If a second round will be launched in 2015 the same requirements for coordinating the additional countries will apply. 16-17 December 2014 Working Group Public Health

Morbidity Statistics - Approximate timetable
Work Package 1 shall start by February 2015 and will last a maximum of 12 months. Depending on availability of Commission funding, a second call for the inventory will be launched in 2015 for those MS who could not apply for the 2014 action. Work Package 2 shall start by January 2015 and will have an estimated duration of up to 30 months, given a second round of national inventories in 2016. 16-17 December 2014 Working Group Public Health
