Civil Rights (noun) -basic freedoms that every person deserves The Constitution states that every person is entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

2 Movement (n) An organized effort to achieve a goal
An example: The Civil Rights Movement

3 Equality (n) The idea that each person should have the same rights and get the same treatment

4 Being free and able to do what one wants
Liberty (noun) Being free and able to do what one wants

5 Promise (noun or verb depending on the context in the sentence)
the expectation that something will turn out well Words to say that you will or will not do something

6 People who move into a country from another country
Immigrants (noun) People who move into a country from another country

7 To persuade to do or believe
Convince (verb) To persuade to do or believe

8 Community Service (noun)
Work done to help people or improve life in a community
