2 The Facts on Facts! A fact is a provable statement.
It can be correct or incorrect. You can prove facts by checking research! Plants need sunlight, water, and room to grow in order to survive.

3 Opinions An opinion is a person’s belief
You can’t prove an opinion right or wrong Look for words like best, should, or pretty That movie was the best one made all year.

4 How to Write a GOOD Opinion
You should always support your opinion with facts or logic An invalid or faulty opinion is just what someone thinks without any facts behind it. For example: I think the sky is pretty today. A VALID opinion is backed up. For example: I think the sky is pretty today because all the dust in the sky made the sunset extra colorful.

5 Fact AND Opinion But wait! There’s more!
Sometimes a sentence can have a fact AND an opinion in it! Hummingbirds look so beautiful as they flap their wings at over 200 beats per minute. Opinion Fact
