2. What’s new in Version 2.4?
Since the initial release of the desktop version of CIMSpy/CIMdesk (i.e. V2.3), Version 2.4 had gone through 9- month new function development, usability and performance enhancement, and quality assurance.
A significant upgrade in terms of functionality, usability, and reliability.
Upgrade to Version 2.4 is mandatory for all of the users. The previous versions, including V2.3.5, are no longer under the support due to extensive code changing.

3. Chart Support: Enabling users to visualize CIM schedules /curves and create their own charts in MQL or using Python script

4. Model Management: The function has been fully restored and its UI has been redesigned.

5. Bookmarking Support: Allowing users to build and maintain a list of frequently-visited display bookmarks and re-visit these displays with one-button clicking from anywhere

6. Extensive Popup Support: Enabling users to extend model visualization or drill down into the details while remaining in the current context

7. Diagram Summary: Primarily designed to support SVG Export, the Diagram Summary display provides an alternative way to call various graphical displays at different levels.

8. Improved UI Look and Feel: Context Menu and Access Toolbar have been reorganized and extended for better user experience.

9. Topology analysis results, now categorized as a separate type of validation incidents, can be filtered based on various filtering criteria.

10. A new diagram color theme is added to match the Dark Expression application color theme. Also added is the support of voltage color rotation.

11. Undo/Redo is now supported when adjusting a saved diagram.

12. The performance of Auto-Suggest Searching Wizard has been significantly improved. It is now an instant effort to find a matching item from a list of 10,000.

13. New Model Engineering Support and Enhancement based on user’s inputs or by carrying over from the delivered projects
Assembling as a union of models: designed to support use cases where two models originated from the same source need to be combined;
Customization of model comparison: enabling users to exclude classes/properties during model comparison;
Customization of partial model export: enabling users to customize partial model export by specifying how a full model shall be partitioned into different Model Authority Sets (MAS);
Supporting model garbage collection: Identifying object islands and connection islands during model validation to assist model cleaning.

14. More than 30 bugs, different kinds, have been fixed
More than 30 bugs, different kinds, have been fixed. There are still a dozen of logged (challenging) SPRs (mostly for enhancement) to be resolved in the future releases.

15. Finally, User’s Guide has been updated for the Desktop Version of CIMSpy/CIMdesk.
