Beyond this title we wanted the children to experience the world around them. We started off by telling stories: “Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see?”

This rhythmic kind of reading helps children remember stories better.

20 OUR DISPLAYS Children decorated their five senses mask using their own creativity. Different textures and fabrics were used in this activity in order to learn about the sense of “ Touch”. They can describe the kind of materials they used and they can also identify different textures by touching their masks.

21 The children created their own posters showing the sense of touch by using different textures

22 Learning by doing We learnt about the five senses
through fun activities. We organised a Craft contest. The winners Creations were displayed in the corridors.

24 Now let’s experience the world
Visit to a Local market Children interact with the shop-keeper. They ask for the names of different fish and if all of them are caught in Gran Canaria.

25 Working time…!!!

26 Now we report what we feel at the market by using our five senses.
