2 Why do we need meaningful engagement?
It’s the right thing to do! Nothing about me, without me. Create social value and flourishing, resilient communities. It is better for everyone. Social Services and Wellbeing Act The Act was introduced with one key objective in mind; to fundamentally change the way social services work in Wales so that the focus remains on individual citizens and their wellbeing. West Wales Care Partnership Commitment and Strategic Vision Senior leader and commissioners are working with independent service providers and citizens to ensure that services are outcomes focused, of the highest quality and available to all who need them, at the time and in the place that they are needed. 3 How might we do it? Regional Innovations Forum - development of an open-membership, values-based regional care provider forum. Delivering Change Together – hosting ‘Big Community Conversations’ with citizens across the West Wales Region and using technology to provide a unique and engaging online discussion forum Creating a shared understanding of common challenges faced by the sector and around what members of our communities value, foster collaboration and solutions and create space for innovation around outcomes- focussed service delivery by focussing on what matters. Regional Provider Forum / Vocaleyes Platform Big Community Conversations / Regional Citizens Panel / Vocaleyes Platform Regional Commissioning Partnerships and Regional Commissioning Plans/West Wales Area Plan Local Commissioning Partnerships and Local Commissioning Plans Public Service Boards and Wellbeing Plans

4 Bringing it all Together
A blended approach –traditional, face to face engagement and enhancing this with technology – maximise participation Use physical space, conversations, presentations etc as a platform for sharing ideas, sharing learning and debating topics to create a shared understanding and shared vision Explore the themes of the WWCP Area Plan and gather understanding around what this means for people in our communities. Use digital to share, rate and debate ideas and prioritise VocalEyes is one such tool promoting co-production, community organising and crowd-sourcing support for wellbeing projects Vocaleyes Overview
