4. Two ways of getting started with CloudPBX.
You can port your fixed number of Microsoft or get new numbers from Microsoft . These can be easily managed in Office 365. This means that you move your existing agreement on fixed telephony from your existing telephony provider to Microsoft THIS SERVICE IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE US FOR THE MOMENT.
You can install a Skype for business server in your own datacenter which communicates with CloudPBX (Hybrid solution ) and thus connect your existing telephony services with CloudPBX.

Not 100% cloud based and needs an in-house datacenter installation
Conclusion
This is a solution for larger companies that already have a local Skype for Business implementation or they want to have control over their own telephony solutions internally. For the SMB market that is heading into a 100% cloud based world this will probably not be a good solution.

7. EUROPEAN ALTERNATIVES
The trend today is that SMB companies are moving to the cloud and want their telephony and Microsoft Office environment to be connected into one communication platform. Seen from a telephony point of view there are two alternatives to CloudPBX:
Mobile-oriented SMB companies have a Mobile Enterprise Switchboard solution from their mobile provider. Many of these mobile providers now offer connections to Lync/SfB solutions to extend their mobile subscription to also be used for calling from PC and IPADs. Calls from Skype for Business (SfB) is then included as part of call minutes in your mobile subscription.
If your company is using fixed numbers, wants to move to the cloud and have requirements regarding how customers are routed, when they call your main number, you should look into pure Skype for business telephony connected solutions.

The conclusion in relation to this new service from Microsoft is that there are Microsoft based solutions for the market that is already providing better functionality for SMB´s. Better integrated with telecom operators at a lower total cost.
