1 North American Biomes Tundra, Taiga, Desert, Tropical Rainforest, Grassland, and Deciduous Forest.

2 Tundra The Tundra is located neat the North or South pole and is characterized by moss lichens and permafrost on a “treeless plain”

3 Taiga The Taiga is the largest terrestrial biome that is located just below the arctic circle and has long cold winters and plentiful coniferous forests.

4 Desert Deserts are hot and dry but not lifeless! There may be cactuses and in general the vegetation is shorter and less dense than other biomes.

5 Tropical Rainforest The lush forests are located close to the equator and have high temperatures year-round along with abundant precipitation.
