5. Anecdote –
a brief personal story that is used to illustrate a point E.g.(I grew up in Evesham and because there was nothing done, I became a violent drug dealing criminal)

an acknowledgement of opposing opinions in order to address them or belittle them E.g. (So, some people rave about the river and the park and yes, they are beautiful, but I am a teenager! I don’t want to go fishing or whizzing down a slide!)
