1 Switching & Controlling LoB
Topic: How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove Date: update October 2015

2 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
1 - Open SoMove and verify you have the latest DTM version for TeSys products 2 – Select Create new Project of line and new window open 3 – Select TeSys T then click on Next

3 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Select the exact LTMR reference you will use and LTME if necessary You will not be able to modify this parameter later. You will be only allowed to change Firmware version. Then click on Create button

My Device

7 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
My Device Using modify button only allows to Change LTMR firmware version LTME firmware version This is only TeSys T DTM version

8 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Operate Measured value when connected Main setting information Input/output status when connected

9 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameters List The list of different parameters you can access

10 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter related address. available in all menu ( useful to find easily the information when necessary ) Parameter List “ Main settings ” Parameter Default value ( factory setting ) - Min and Max value ( provide setting range ) Operating mode Current setting area Current transformer Area when used Ground current selection

11 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Control settings ” Operating mode & Current setting information Available Control setting area

12 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Communications settings ” here for Ethernet product Ethernet communication Setting area HMI communication setting area

13 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Communications settings ” here for Modbus product Modbus communication Setting area HMI communication setting area

14 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Thermal settings ” Thermal protection selection Inverse thermal ( standard overload ) or Definite time ( over-current protection ) Thermal protection settings parameters area Temperature sensor type selection

15 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Different Current protection settings ” Current setting information When fault or warning is enabled setting parameters are accessible List of different current faults When fault or warning are not enabled setting parameters are not accessible

16 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Different Voltage protection settings ” Voltage setting information When fault or warning is enabled setting parameters are accessible List of different Voltage faults When fault or warning are not enableds settings parameter are not accessible

17 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Different Power protection settings ” Power setting information When fault or warning is enabled setting parameters are accessible List of different Power faults When fault or warning are not enabled settings parameter are not accessible

18 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ HMI settings ” HMI display HMI button List of different Parameter you can display on HMI screen You can select each parameter you want or do not want to display

19 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ User map ” This corresponds to register 800 You write in this area the different registers you want to read User map register starts from 800 to 899 The value of register listed in the user map are in register 900 You can read non successive register Using “User map” functionality. Doing this you write in your PLC “read Register and you get in the value of the different register listed in user map In our example 451, 455, 460, 465, 511 and 461

20 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Parameter List “ Modified ” You have in this list all modified register with default value, min and max setting and your actual setting Here you get all parameters registers you modified in your configuration

21 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Fault “ Status ”  Provide for each fault the total number Status provides : General information on TeSys T status - Different fault total number

22 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Fault “ Fault history ”  Provide the TeSys T parameter value when fault happens Fault history provides : Last 5 fault information - - For each fault recorded different parameter information on TeSys T when fault occurs

23 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ Device status ” Device status provides : Real time on TeSys T status

24 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ I/O ” Here you can have TeSys T Input status

25 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ User map ” This correspond to register 900 When connected you will have here register values, for those you have listed in User map register starting at 800.

26 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ Metering Thermal ” You will have here Thermal capacity level. When value is 100% TeSys T will trip for overload

27 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ Metering Current” You will have here current level value ( A and % of current setting ).

28 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ Metering Voltage “ You will have here Voltage level.

29 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Monitoring “ Metering Power “ You will have here Power information

30 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Custom Monitoring You can customize your monitoring to see during commissioning (only ) the different parameters. SoMove is not SCADA system.

31 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Custom Monitoring To see Thermal capacity level you just need to select parameter then use right click to set the display in your windows.

32 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Custom Monitoring “Thermal “ Then you have Thermal capacity level you just have selected displayed. You can modify the display using scrolling menu.

33 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Custom Monitoring “All parameters accessible with different displays“ The different displays you can select when using scrolling menu. They are available for all parameters.

34 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Diagnostic when using Ethernet communication protocol You get on this page all Ethernet information which can help you in diagnostic. However “Wireshark” trace is the best way to troubleshoot Ethernet issue.

35 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Diagnostic statistics available for all communication protocols Here you get some statistic information concerning TeSys T operations

36 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Custom logic Not connected Using Device menu, you can generate custom Logic “OFF line”. Custom logic can be helpful to change easily Logic Input/Output behaviour. See dedicated FA for more details on how to use them

37 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Custom logic when connected When connected you have 2 possibilities To download in TeSys T the custom you have created. To upload from TeSys T the custom Logic. Doing this you do not have the comment you may have set in your original custom file.

38 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Function Bloc Diagram Not connected Using Device menu, you can generate “OFF line” logic to be used in custom Logic. See dedicated FA for more details on how to use them

39 How to quickly configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Function Bloc Diagram when connected

40 How to configure your TeSys T using SoMove
Logic Simulator Using Logic simulator embedded in SoMove allows you to verify the correct behaviour of your logic. Be careful only real test on customer installation will warranty the custom logic will feed customer specification needs Simulator tool only provides basic information.
