3. COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS
Approximately inspections conducted countrywide and approximately firearms inspected by the South African Police Service
Inspections conducted on private individuals, institutions such as dealerships, security companies etc. Generally compliance was achieved during these inspections.
In instances where irregularities have been detected the South African Police Services has acted decisively to deal with these aspects. Approximately 300 persons where arrested in this drive and 450 investigations are still pending.
