The prey can be a carnivore, but not top of the food chain.

3. Producer Food chains always start with a Producer.
Producers make their own food.
They make their food through a process called Photosynthesis.
Primary consumers eat Producers.

4. Predators The Predator is an animal which Eats another.
In a food chain the Predator can’t be Primary consumer.
Predators will always be secondary consumers or after.

5. Consumers Consumers are animals. Green plants are not consumers.
A consumer eats plants or other animals.
Humans are consumers.

6. Omnivores, Carnivores & Herbivores
Omnivore – an animal that eats anything.
Herbivore – an animal that only eats plants.
Carnivore – an animal that eats only meat.
