2 Grammar/Usage A subject and a verb have to agree to be either singular or plural - 1 The 20 dogs eats too much food! Pronouns as the subject compared to pronouns as the object - 1 We are going to lunch at 12:20. Please give the assignments to us. Be sure to give the funds to we collectors. Us are trying to collect $300.

4 Punctuation A run-on sentence needs to be broken into two complete thoughts which can each stand alone - 1 The costumed children ran down the street and visited 24 houses they collected more than 100 pieces of candy! Place commas inside ending quotation marks -1 “A cat was lost” , she said, “but was found in an hour.” Place periods and exclamation points inside quotation marks at the end of a quoted exclamation -1 The crowd yelled, “Happy Halloween”!
