3. Mental Math Students know the expectation – seated, quiet, and ready.
Mental Math should be started within about one minute of the “tardy time”
NO TALKING during Mental Math
Teacher will show/call out the problem long enough to read it through TWICE.
Students should write ONLY the answer…not the problem or any calculations
Don’t forget to simplify – or include units.

IF students are behaving and being cooperative, I usually go ahead and ask them to “trade and grade.”
Students may not grade their own.
Students need to use a different writing utensil to grade – and write “Graded by ____”
Teacher calls the question and students RAISE a hand to answer.
Student then checks all right answers and puts one line through all that are wrong.
The grade should be calculated (10 points each – and I will spot them 50 points). This means all grades should be from 50 to 100.
Write the grade on the warm up and return it to the owner.

18. After video…
If time allows, there is a Genetics Test Study Guide (worksheet) for every student.
You may work on this in class and/or at home over the weekend.
You may use a textbook or your notes –but NOT your neighbor – to answer the STUDY GUIDE…not on the test.
