1. In mathematics we will continue to reinforce our knowledge of the 3, 4 and 8 times tables and develop effective written methods for multiplication and division calculations. We will also be learning about equivalent fractions, finding fractions of amounts and quantities and fraction pairs that total one.
In our writing lessons we will be looking at a text called ‘Flood’ and use this as a model to write our own narrative. We will continue to develop our spelling, punctuation and grammar skills.
The Angry Earth
Class 3
In Physical Education Class 3 will be playing netball.
As computer programmers we will continue to develop our coding skills.
As geographers we will be finding out what makes the earth angry. This will include the study of the most common natural disasters including tsunamis, earthquakes and volcano eruptions.
As scientists we will investigate what rocks tell us about the way the earth was formed. This will include the study of fossilisation and soil permeability. We will also learn about Mary Anning and her contribution to paleontology.
As designers we will be making an erupting volcano!
