Introduction This slide show is all about my dynamic earth. We will be talking about: tectonic plates, volcanoes, tsunami and earthquakes. We will tell you about how these natural disasters and other inserting facts.

Volcanoes Volcanoes are usually mountains with a crater at the top. Most eruptions happen in the crater. Sometimes lava flows out the vent. When magma erupts from the ground, it is then known as lava. When lava cools, it becomes solid rock.

Tsunamis A tsunami is a big wave of water. A tsunami is caused by an under ground earthquake. Tsunamis can reach to the height of 7.50 meters tall. After a tsunami has finished there would be some sea creatures on the land. They travel unnoticed but grow as they reach the shore.

Facts Life depends on water, in all of its forms. Earth is the only one we know to support life. Earths temperature is just the right for water to be present in the atmosphere, oceans, soil and icecaps. Coal is formed by carbon. All of natural disasters are dangerous.

What Causes These Natural Disasters To Happen Earthquakes are caused by tectonic plates merging together and over lapping each other. Volcanoes are caused by the magma chamber bubbling and then the volcano erupts. Tsunamis are caused by an under ground earthquake. An under ground earthquake is caused the same way as an earthquake.( But under the sea.)

Tectonic Plates When tectonic plates merge together it causes a natural disaster. There are 3 types of tectonic plates. Convergent, Transform and Divergent. Convergent tectonic plate merges and over laps. The Transform move different directions. Divergent Tectonic plates push away from each other.

Earthquakes Scientists that study earthquakes are called seismologists. The safest place to be is under a strong table or in a door way. Scientists use measuring instruments to listen to the semic waves, the measuring instruments are called seismometers. Most scientists use two measuring scales to measure on earthquake.

Earth is more than 4.5 billion years old. Earth have over 500 active volcanoes. Lava flows under the water.
