5 Transcorp Hotels Plc. Owner of the multi-award-winning Transcorp Hilton Abuja Hotel, a 670 room luxury hotel in the heart of Abuja. The flagship hotel is the undisputed hospitality industry leader. It is currently in the middle of a $100million renovation project that is expected to redefine the luxury guest experience and boost its earning potential. Transcorp Hotels Plc is the owner of the popular Transcorp Hotels Calabar (South-South Nigeria). It has also kicked off the construction of two more hotels in Ikoyi/Lagos and Port Harcourt (South-South, Nigeria), both in partnership with Hilton Worldwide Group.

6 Transcorp Power Limited.
Transcorp Power Limited is the owner and operator of Ughelli Power Plant in Ughelli, Delta State, South-South Nigeria. Recently it has emerged and has remained Nigeria’s highest producer of generated power. In September 2012, Transcorp made a strategic $300 million investment in acquiring the plant under the federal government’s power sector privatisation programme. The $300 million investment was part of strategic Heirs Holdings’ commitment to USAID’s Power Africa initiative.   When Transcorp took ownership of the 972MW capacity plant in 2013 it generated only160MW of power daily. Today, Transcorp Power has increased its generating capacity to 620MW with a target of 850MW by the end of Our medium term plan is to expand to 3000MW in the next 5yrs with an ultimate target of generating 25% of Nigeria’s total power requirement.

7 Transcorp Energy Limited.
Transcorp Energy Limited is a fully owned subsidiary which was established in 2008 to spearhead Transcorp’s push into the energy sector as well as  focus on upstream petroleum development. As an offshoot, we have Transcorp OPL281Nigeria Limited, which is developing the OPL 281 asset in collaboration with technical partners. Reserve Estimates: Oil Mn Stock Tank Barrel. 8 Sustainability. Auxiliary Facilities
The plant provides auxiliary facilities for staff working in the plant, these includes: a staff housing estate built within the plant and a rented estate in the adjoining Ughelli metropolis. The plant also includes a standard medical clinic to provide Medicare for staff and their family, in addition to specialist hospitals on retainer for referral purposes. For relaxation, a recreational club is situated in the plant for staff and their family. Lastly, a staff school comprising of a primary and secondary school is located at the staff estate to serve the educational demands of staff and the immediate community wards.

9 Sustainability. Corporate Social Responsibility
Africapitalism puts the private sector at the center of economic progress Living this ideology, we are in partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) who delivers our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The current CSR project is an Entrepreneurship Development programme (EDP) that identifies, trains, mentors and provides seed capital of up to $10,000 to 1,000 African entrepreneurs each year, for 10 years. It is currently in its third year, having 3,000 recipients so far. Africapitalism puts the private sector at the center of economic progress, building full value chains that benefit the local economy and advance national development. It means the private sector working with governments and other stakeholders to build sustainable economies and contribute to the lasting development of the African continent.
