2 What does Literary Analysis mean?
It’s an investigation. It’s a search for what authors do on purpose. (because EVERYTHING they do is on purpose.) Names? on purpose. Setting? on purpose. Conflict(s)? on purpose. Mood? on purpose. Tone on purpose.

4 6 words Writing a story is very difficult, but writing a short story is even more difficult. Today we’re going to read several short stories, and we’re going to analyze them for those elements on the list you just made. We will have to really pry them apart to find these things, so get your brains working.
