3. Give instructions that are clear enough for another person to do the

State what you are going to do in the investigation
Use labelled scientific diagrams
State clearly the Variables being tested

investigation

4. Clearly state your Investigation Variables:
the independent variable - the one you are testing
the dependent variable - the one you are measuring
the controlled variables - all other variables (usually more one) that are kept constant (unchanged)
Your method should show how your investigation will be a fair test (i.e. has no bias - all conditions must be identical except the variable being tested)

5. Results Record your observations
This could be a table of results, chart or graphs to show what happened

6. Discussion / Conclusion
Explain what you found out from your investigation and why you think it happened
Say how accurate your investigation was
Write down any improvements which you can think of for your method
