1 Senior Meeting December 3-7, 2018

2 Scholarships The Class of 2018 was offered over $16,000,000 in scholarships. Please turn in any scholarship offers you receive to Mrs. Huizenga in the front office, even if you don’t plan on attending the college/university that offers you the scholarship! Also, if you plan on enlisting in the military, please see Mrs. Huizenga in the front office. The deadline to submit scholarship offers/enlistment papers to be included in Royal Awards is May 3, 2019 at 4:30pm. No exceptions due to the print deadline!

3 Cap and Gown Cap, gown, tassel, and stole are the four pieces required for the graduation ceremony. Please order your cap and gown before December 14, 2018. The price will increase $15 on December 14, 2018. Orders can be placed at or by calling Jostens. Orders will be delivered to students during all lunches on Tuesday, March 5,

4 Graduation Cords A letter will be mailed in January with information about graduation cords. Each cord will be $10. Cash or Check only. Deadline to order cords will be March 1, 2019. If your student qualifies as a AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, or AP Scholar with Distinction, they must order and pay for their cord. If they do not order their cord, they will not receive the cord at Royal Awards. Their name will only appear in the Royal Awards program. The following cords are provided to seniors at no charge: Perfect Attendance, Military (students who have completed the enlistment process), and the Top Ten students (not 10%) in the class of 2019.

5 Graduation Ceremony There will be a letter sent to all seniors in March, with all of the details concerning graduation. Please make sure that we have your most current address, so that you receive this information. No tickets are required for the ceremony.

6 Fines/Fees All fines/fees must be paid in order to purchase prom tickets and receive diploma. All district issued Chromebooks, textbooks, athletic equipment/clothing, culinary uniforms, fine arts items, etc. must be returned or the fine for the items paid in full. Technology fines must be paid in full. Students will be able to participate in the graduation ceremony; however, the diplomas will be held until all fines/fees are paid, or any district issued items is returned to campus.

7 Rank Rank will be run at the end of the first semester (January 2019).
At the end of the 5th six weeks, rank will be run again to determine the Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and the Top 10%.

8 Diplomas Your legal name will appear on your diploma. This is the name that we have in eSchool that is listed on your birth certificate. If you anticipate your name changing, you must submit legal documentation to the registrars prior to February 22, 2019. If you do not participate in the graduation ceremony, your diploma will be available to pick up at BNHS, beginning on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. You will verify the spelling of your name for your diploma, and sign off on the signature page.

9 Graduation Practice Graduation practice May 31, 2019 8:40am – 10:30am
Check in at the PAC, concluding in the Competition Gym This is a mandatory practice!  You will be dismissed at the conclusion of the practice.
