1 How to have the blessings of the Lord
Exodus 15:22-27

2 The conditions are stated:

3 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord”
Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish. 20 As the nations which the Lord destroys before you, so you shall perish, because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 8:19-20

4 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord”
10 We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets. 11 Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him. Daniel 9:10-11

5 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord”
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7:21

6 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord”
34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. Acts 10:34-35

7 “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord”
16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness Romans 6:16-18

8 And do that which is right in His sight?
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink, 23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away justice from the righteous man!

9 And do that which is right in His sight?
24 Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 5:20-24

10 And do that which is right in His sight?
and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? Acts 13:10

11 And do that which is right in His sight?
Too many today are not receiving the love of the truth 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

12 And do that which is right in His sight?
Too many today are not receiving the love of the truth They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 2 Peter 2:15

13 And do that which is right in His sight?
Too many today are not receiving the love of the truth 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

14 And do that which is right in His sight?
Too many today are not receiving the love of the truth 16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. Revelation 2:14-16

15 And do that which is right in His sight?
Too many today are not receiving the love of the truth 18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:18-20

16 “And will give ear to His commandments”
1. Thing of all the N.T. commandments on hearing & giving ear i. Matthew 11:15; Mark 7:16; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7,11 ii. “Give ear” – means to listen, pay attention.

17 “And keep all his statutes”
1. A statute is “an ordinance, a limit, an enactment, something prescribed.” 2. Keeping them is obeying them.

18 The result

19 “I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.”
1. For the children of Israel this was a physical blessing. 2. For the children of God today this means spiritual blessings, including heaven. 3. The point is, that if God’s children would listen to Him, He would bless them.

20 “I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.”
26 “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: 27 the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; 28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known. Deuteronomy 11:26-28

21 “I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.”
14 “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:14-15

22 “I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.”
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14

23 Conclusion The commands of God are not burdensome. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3

24 Conclusion The commands of God are not burdensome. His commands do not bring burdens, only blessings. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1:3
