Rules and Regulations

2 Class Rules: Be Respectful!
Try Your Best! (Even though it means you DO NOT deserve an A)

3 Cell Phones No cell phones in class, unless it is being used for an activity. Do not come in and charge your phone!

4 Bathroom There is time built into the schedule before/after class and during “mental break” to use the bathroom. Do not ask to go during class! Exceptions will be made on an individual basis.

5 Lateness Be on time! You have 7 minutes from when the bell rings at your last class to be in your seat.

6 Profanity, Inappropriate and Disrespectful Behavior
Using profanity or inappropriate language is not tolerated. Inappropriate gestures are not tolerated Disrespectful behavior is not tolerated

7 Food and Drink You many not have any food or drinks (except water) in class. You may have a bottle of water with you in class at any time.

8 Consequences: If you don’t meet the previous expectations:
1st time: Warning and loss of 4 points from grade. 2nd time: You receive a zero for the class and are told to sit out. 3rd Time: You will be written up.

9 Please, Please, Please… Do not talk when I am talking or when another student is talking!

11 “Cop Constructs” Derived from combination of the article and “Ted Talks” 30/5/30 30 minutes of instruction 5 minutes of “mental break” (text, talk to your friends, use the bathroom, whatever…you must get out of your seat) 30 minutes of project stations/instruction to spring curiosity and do experiential learning

12 Class Procedure First 5 minutes: Grab your white board and answer the warm-up questions AS A GROUP! Last 5 minutes: ASK QUESTIONS! To the teacher and to other group members. Use this time to ask questions to reinforce what it is you learned today.

13 These are Mr. Cop’s Rules and Regulations for Health.
I promise to have some fun, work hard, and respect you! I hope you promise the same… Please sign the sheet stating you understand Mr. Cop’s Health Rules and Regulations.
