9 OPT Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for OPT, the student must:
Be in legal F-1 immigration status Be a full-time student for at least one academic year Have U-M approved health insurance

10 If you are applying for positions posting on Handshake, please read carefully. It is very likely that you will find the answer for the H-1B sponsorship question, but they are not correct sometimes. Please visit the company site and reach out to SAM Board/recruiter for sponsorship question.

Start with a strong verb SAM website: How to build on International Experiences? Focus on Skills: Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Programming, Leadership Skills and how to use them to accomplish your projects Fun experiences: soccer coach, captain of basketball team, taking care of pandas, etc. (not necessarily fun to you, but must be fun to American recruiters)
