Activating Strategy on Chromebooks: Create 3 kennings about yourself. A kenning is a figurative expression that replaces a name or a noun. Each kenning must have two or more words. For example, a football player might call themselves “the pigskin player” because footballs are made out of pigskin. A car that uses a lot of gas might be called a gas guzzler. A child might be referred to as an ankle-biter. A person who likes to read might be called a bookworm.
Vocabulary (define): Event, series, connection, comparison, and distinction.
