Sonnet: A fourteen-line poem, usually composed in iambic pentameter, employing one of several rhyme schemes. ..:
-"Petrarchan" or "Italian" sonnet = octave rhymed abbaabba and a "sestet" rhymed either cdecde, cdccdc, or cdedce.
