2 What to get out of this chapter
Learn about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and begin to understand its impact on your identity and self-esteem. Identify an overall goal or mission for your life. Learn to project into the future and to realize the diversity of lifestyle options open to you. Identify the components of a balanced lifestyle. Understand and identify your needs and to appreciate the desirability of having a balanced internal and external, personal and professional, private and public life. Learn to personalize the balanced lifestyle evaluation process and help you realize the effect outside forces can have on a person’s life.

Lifestyle Choice or Career Choice? Why?
