An enabler Collaborate with others Customizing infrastructure (esp. exchange/ transfer points) Provides open data (Trafiklab 2.0) Traffic flows and prioritization, “smart use” Research, innovation and demos (Mistra SAMS, MOBEVI etc.) The overall means of directing how we develop the Swedish transport system are the transport policy goals. Thy show the politically prioritised areas within the government transport policy. The goals are the starting point for Trafikverket’s work, and serve to guide the direction of our operations. The goals hall also serve as support in being able to inspire regional and local authority planning Functional goal The functional goal is about creating availability for travel and transportation. The structure, function and use of the transport system shall help to give everyone a fundamental availability with good quality and ease of use, and shall contribute to development strength throughout the country. At the same time, the transport system shall be characterised by equality, or in other words match equally the requirements of men and women with regard to transport. Consideration goal The consideration goal concerns safety, environment and health. These are important aspects that must be considered in connection with a sustainable transport system. The structure, function and use of the transport system shall be adapted to making sure that nobody is killed or seriously injured . It shall also contribute to the fulfilment of environmental quality goals and to improvements in health.
