2 Reactive vs. Proactive Proactive: The adjective proactive can describe a person who get things done. If you are proactive, you make things happen, instead of waiting for them to happen to you. Reactive: To be reactive is to be ready to react or respond to something else — as opposed to ready to act on one's own. A person who'sreactive does things only in response to others.

Proactive People : Are not easily offended Take responsibility for their actions Think before they act Bounce back when something bad happens (resiliency) Always find a way to make it happen Focus on things they can do something about, and don’t worry about things they can’t Reactive People: Are easily offended Blame others Get angry and say things they later regret Whine and Complain Wait for things to happen to them Change only when they have to
