2 Fig 1 Double-armed sliding double hook composed of two hooks with double arms: an inner bar with Y-shaped points and an outer tube with T-shaped arms. The Annals of Thoracic Surgery  , DOI: ( /j.athoracsur ) Copyright © 2010 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Terms and Conditions

3 Fig 2 (A) The points of the device are inserted into the loops formed by the neochordae. The Y-points of the inner bar are hooked onto the knot of the expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) suture on the papillary muscle. (B) The facing leaflets are simultaneously grasped by the T-arms of the outer tube. The two parts are adjusted by sliding so that the normal chordae are stretched and taut. After both parts are fixed with a screw and both leaflets are held in the same plane, the ePTFE suture is tied down.
