7 KE Practice A 70.0 kg man is walking at a speed of 2.0 m/s. What is his kinetic energy? KE = ½ m v2

10 KE Practice A 50.0 kg cheetah has a kinetic energy of 18,000J. How fast is the cheetah running? KE=½ m v2 You are solving for v this time. √(2KE/m) = v First multiply 2 * 18,000. Then divide that number by 50.0. Last, take the square root of that number.

Then divide that number by 50.0. Last, take the square root of that number. √ 2*18000/50.0=27 m/s
