3 Opening- Tone Chart Examples from a text.
Definition Your Definition Examples from a text. Types of Tone- As many as possible.

4 Task- Tone Read the poem. Answer the following BCR question: What is the tone of the poem? How does the author’s word choice relate the tone? Give examples of the text to support your answer. 3. If finished early, please work on your poem- Draft should be finished at the end of class on Friday.

5 Closing- Share Your Writing
Two Parts: Share your thoughts and tell how you met the standard. How are you going to focus on developing tone in your writing?
