Our entire lesson today will focus on feudalism. At the end of today, you know you reached your goal if you can answer these questions. Why did feudalism begin? What purpose did feudalism serve? What was the purpose of the castle? What were the responsibilities of each member of feudal society? What was the manor?

Might be called upon to protect the manor or the kingdom. Nobles must provide for their Manors and Knights. Nobles come get a basket of blocks.

18 Invasion!!!! King – call upon your knights to protect your kingdom!!!

19 Taxes are due!! King – Collect all of the blocks of a color of your choosing. All Nobles must submit that color blocks to you.

20 Payments are due to the Noble.
Nobles – Because the serfs are on YOUR land, you have the right to collect your share of the produce of the land. Collect all of the “W’s” and “O’s” from your serfs.

21 Invasion!!!! King – call upon your knights to protect your kingdom!!!
